OPERATION NOAH

Charles Lagus

ANIMAL DUNKIRK

The Zambesi is one of Africa's greatest rivers and when the Kariba Dam, which spans it some three hundred miles down stream from the Victoria Falls, is completed it will create the largest man-made lake in the world, two hundred miles long, and in places wider than the English Channel.

As a result over fifty thousand natives have had to move from their villages and settle in areas not threatened by the flood, and thousands of animals are being trapped on the many islands /in the lake, OPERATION NOAH has been organized to rescue these animals-a task that is both fascinating and dangerous, for the refugees are ungrateful and not very cooperative,

The animal rescue work is carried out from high-speed launches and involves everything from snakes to elephants.

The reaction of the various animals to the threat of rising waters, and the skill and powers of improvisation of the rescuers, provide the ingredients for an enthralling story.

Comes with a copy of our DVD Operation Noah - the animal rescue film - a $29.95 value .
