The Siege of Southern Africa

Douglas Reed

The Siege of Southern Africa

The author (at time of writing) saw Africa being i the 1938-39 phase of "planned and contrived war" for purposes far removed from, and indeed the opposite of the professed aims of "liberation:. The re-enslavement of Africa and the Black man by capitalist-communist pincer-movement, the handles being operated in the East by Moscow and Peking, in the West by Washington, are what he foresees, and Southern Africa, in the front line.

He says the number of Black people killed by other Black people in the preceding ten years in the area North of the Zambezi is already greater than the total casualty list of WWII and for this reason he feels nauseous when he hears the word "Liberation."

A fascinating look in retrospect, at what at the time, was a prophetic book. A companion to The Battle for Rhodesia, this is a must have and read for the student of African history.

Though dust cover has some wear and tear, the book is in very good condition.
