I've just received the DVD of 'Shangani Patrol' and watched it - an ambition for nearly twenty years, after II first met the director, David Millin. What an absolute delight! I shall write it up for a few military history journals - I hope it sells you a few copies. I can't thank you enough for making it available - and your service is pretty good, too! Ian Knight, United Kingdom

I am very pleased to say that I recieved my order on Monday - and I am delighted with the discs and the extra discs included as a gift - thank you very much. I have played the Army and Airforce discs and they are perfect. The Shangani Patrol is perfect I am so delighted with the efficient service and the products that I shall certainly order again. I have my eye on the Whispering Death and various other DVD's. Steve Roberts, United Kingdom

Though I've bought other items from you in the past, unfortunately this isn't one of those times. I just wanted to say thank you for offering these (Beer Mugs) at normal prices that the everyday collector can afford. Not like that other guy who starts all his mugs in the $100.00 range. I have about 25 Rhodesian mugs at this time. all of which purtain to my time there. I wasn't able to carry to much out on the plane in 77 but, thanks to reasonable dealers such as yourself I've been able to replace most of that which was left behind. Thank for being a seller with a concience. Kirk French, Hawaii

Hello Shamwari! Just want to compliment you on a SUPER site!  Lots of information; lots of memories.  I was seconded to the BSAP-PATU in Umtali and Chipinga areas and worked the TTL's in the surrounding lands from about 74-79. Got to admit, I miss the hunt!. John Zeller, United States.

Hello, Just wanted to take a moment to notify you that the "Rhodesia - Military Insignia Collection" was received on Friday 18NOV05.I am extremely happy in the quality of the product and the way in which the insignia has been presented. It will certainly be a centrepiece of my collection and will go alongside the miniture medal set that I also obtained from you.Thank you for your patience, and the assistance, in providing me the opportunity to obtain this piece for my collection.
Once again thank you very much to you and your team at 'Memories of Rhodesia'.
All the best. Michael Ploenges, Australia.

Just a short note from a person who lived in Zim (though I am American) for
a time and hated to leave. I still miss it to this moment. I was very happy to find your site - I love the postcards and am sure will be buying some soon. It's a great site - keep up all your good work. My South African husband and I and our daughter - born at Avenues Clinic - have settled in Maine. If you are ever up this way - do call on us. Best regards, Leigh Steele, United States.

The death of Ian Smith has brought up feelings that I really didn't want to visit again. I have been an ex-Rhodesian since 1983. I despise with a passion Robert Mugabe and any other thug who stands by him in his rape of the country but lately I have also been getting a little annoyed with some Rhodesians who just can not let go and who insist on living in the past. We will NEVER be able to exist as we once did, I will NEVER be able to go home and rebuild, Rhodesia will NEVER rise again. Be that as it may this e-mail has made me think. As soon as I came across the old shows from the RBC the terrible pain of longing and nostalgia flooded through me, the pictures of a young Smith set me off back home to Harare where my mother (god rest her soul) proudly displayed a photo of Smith next to one of Jim Reeves on the heavy wooden sideboard in our lounge. Every morning as I left for school, there they were, two icons of my time wishing me a good day as John Derrimas signed off from the passing parade. "I'm John Derrimas, and this was the passing parade." Maybe I needed this e-mail from you, for I suppose that even if I can never rebuild or we as a people can never exist as once we did, we can still hold on to the memories and the dreams. And really, the pain of longing is in its own way quite comforting-in that we long for a time which we know was once shared, loved and experienced. I would think that those who have destroyed our paradise will never feel the emotions of longing and nostalgia, and maybe that is justice enough as they are condemned to always be filled with hate, anger, jealousy and fear. Thanks for the wake up. Boyce van Rensburg, London, UK.
