As Summer turned to Autumn, so the fate of the nation changed.As always it was politics that dominated the news - each time about the steps being taken to implement a political settlement that would eventually bring peace to the country.
March 1974 Rhodesia's most popular person to hate, Harold Wilson, was once again sent to 10 Downing Street. |

March 1978 Saw great events take place as an Internal Settlement was reached and white-minority rule in Rhodesia came to an end.

March 1979 Twelve months later and the country prepares for the first ever one-man one-vote elections. General Hickman is forced into retirement whilst the country continues its attacks against ZANLA. |

March 1980 Once again the country goes to the polls and elects Robert Mugabe as Prime Minister. The final days of Rhodesia come to a close. |
