Ian Douglas Smith, the last white Prime-Minister of Rhodesia. The Architect of U.D.I. Epitome of all that Rhodesia stood for. Firm, committed, true to principle - to the point of stubbornness. He evoked, and continues to, strong emotions by all who were effected by him. Undying love and respect, hatred and enmity - there were very few who did not have strong feelings about him.
From what was seen as the country's finest hour, through it's darkest moments, Ian Smith was the leader. Friendly, open, approachable, yet unwavering in his cause. This is story in film.
